WMC Inaugural Season Rules
Teams
The WMC League will have 32 regular season teams. These 32 teams are split up into 2 conferences (similar to the NBA style). Owners are placed into either the AFC or NFC at random when the schedule is populated. Owners can own any team they wish (even if another player already has that team.. this is what makes us different than other leagues), but they must use that team for the entire regular season and throughout the playoffs.
Schedule/Player restrictions
The WMC League schedule is exactly like the NFL style. There will be 17 regular season weeks scheduled (16 games and 1 bye week for every player). A random schedule will be created once 32 players sign up to prevent any unfairness.. Unlike other leagues we do not restrict players from using injured/suspended players. When we start the league you are free to play any week anytime you wish as long as you complete all 16 league games before the deadline date. (With this being the case there's obviously no fair way to determine who should be allowed to play and who shouldn't.. so anyone may play in any game)
Playoffs
The WMC League will have 12 playoff teams. The top 6 teams in each conference will make the playoffs. The top 2 teams in each conference will receive a bye in the first round of the playoffs. Seeding in the playoffs will be determined by record.
Other
1. Good Sportsmanship. Do not make fun of your opponents playing ability etc, this is a strict rule, and we’ve seen by experience that these arguments about who’s better at madden do not go well. Just say good game after the game and your done.
2. No quitting on purpose during a league or tournament game, this is a strict rule and you will be punished for quitting.
3. Give time for players to set they’re rosters in the beginning of the game.
4. No running the clock, don’t hold the ball under 15 seconds every play, you can only run the clock in the 4rth quarter.
5. No cheating or glitching someone out of a win, you will be punished.
6. NO replaying games during the season, if you take over an inactive owner’s team, you will continue where they left off, regardless if they were 8-1 or 1-8.
7. If you are d/c during a game, restart or pick off where you left off by playing the appropriate amount of time that was left in the game, in an unranked game. If you guys can’t handle this situation speak to an admin.
8. Don’t falsely accuse someone of cheating.
9. To make it easy, the HOME team posts the final score and stats if they like, and the AWAY team agrees to that final score and may post stats of they're own if the HOME team did not post the stats for the AWAY team. (In order to receive points for posting stats you must post them or confirm them.. so if the home team posts them then you must reply that you agree with them to receive credit for posting points)
